Bio
Clara Astarloa (Buenos Aires, 1980) holds a PhD in Literary writing, a Master’s degree in Literary Creation and a degree in History. Her texts have been published in multiple anthologies of short stories and poetry; her collection of poems Mandalay (Copper Coin, 2019) was sponsored by the Sur Program of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Argentina. Among others, she translated A Poet in New York (Mr. Momo, 2018) and has received several literary mentions, such as the Young Talents Booket award from Editorial Planeta. Resident in India, she has worked at the Center for Latin American Studies at Goa University and currently works at the Languages Department and the Centre for Imagination at Woodstock International School, at the foot of the Himalayas, where she lives with her two children. Siempre la lluvia (Caligrama, 2024) is her first novel.
